KINO KABARET

WHAT: A filmmaking workshop and festival spread across three weekend sessions. A low $50 entry cost provides access to professional cameras, editing equipment and advice from filmmaking professionals, to shoot and edit a short film in 32 hours. The films are premiered at screening parties on the Sunday night.

45 films by 56 filmmakers

WHY: Kino Kabaret gives up and comers in the film industry the chance to learn skills from experts, use professional equipment, make contacts in the industry, and emerge at the end with a completed film, while professional filmmakers can meet new talent and test their skills with a time-restricted challenge.

18-35 creative audience 

WHO: Amateurs mix with award-winners, artists mix with technicians and locals mix with international participants from Kino cells around the world. All Kino Kabaret workshops and parties are fully accessible for filmmakers with disabilities.

WHEN: 17-18 November, 24-25 November, and 1-2 December 2012.
